Free-Range Eggs

Our fresh free-range eggs come from Winelands Free Range Chicken which is situated in Rawsonville near Worcester. Winelands Free-Range Chicken is a family-run business, and the eggs are laid by pasture-raised hens.

The chickens get to forage around in grazing areas and on the farm’s vineyards during the day, eating whatever they like, before returning to their barns at night. The chickens are not force-fed or restricted to commercial feed, their diet consists of bugs, worms, grass, critters and 100% grain-based feed. They are not given any antibiotics, growth promotors or any animal by-products. The hens therefore produce eggs containing really good quality omega 3 fats and vitamins, rich in beta carotene nutrients, which makes them a great healthy cooking option.

The chickens have the ultimate lifestyle with full time access to fresh pastures, dustbathes (their way of keeping clean) and ample space to run around, all while having access to a specific grain mix to supply them with their daily nutritional needs. They get to forage around freely, as nature intended.

Pure Raw Honey

My raw honey is sourced from farmlands all around the Cape such as Hermanus, Worcester and Stellenbosch.

It is non-irradiated and has no additional additives.

Firewood

Perfect for making your house cosy and warm, my firewood is only available during the winter season. I can supply blue gum and pine pieces.
